Typical Breakfast, Table for Four

An omelette, chocolate, bread and a piece of "arepa" (our tortilla).

It's our favorite breakfast for Sundays, it's the moment to share with all my family. And the most important is that is a table for four..

Una omelette, chocolate, pan y arepa (nuestra tortilla)

Es nuestro desayuno favorito para los domingos, es el momento de pasar un tiempo con toda la familia sin ninguna prisa. Eso es lo mas importante, mesa para cuatro.

Your breakfasts are obviously more formal and civilized than ours!

Very nice that you all sit down and eat together. It seems too many people don't do that anymore.

Yes, breakfast together with the family. it doesn't much matter what you are eating as long as you are together.

Yes, as Kate says, it's so prim and proper with all seating at the dining table.

The cups determine where the parents and kids sit ya? hehe... I can kinda guess where the parents sit :-)

Sundays do seem to be the day for the family breakfast!

We used to have a special breakfast on weekends when the kids were young. Yours sounds delicious, especially the chocolate part!

Love that breakfast and I too like it when we all get to eat breakfast together. I insist on dinners being eaten together, but breakfast is a bit more hit and miss!

That is the way we have always had meals. Together. I like your photography too.

Yes Kerokop, you're right. Are you a detective? My big son is at the right (yellow cup) and my little son is at the left (the blue cup). But They didn't want to sit for the photo (it was so early). Tanks for all your comments.

I used to cook breakfast every morning. . .when did we all get so entrapped in the business world's time table that we have forgotten the pure pleasure of breakfast together. This is a wonderful reminder. Oh, and chocolate! Yum.

What kind of tortilla is arepa?

Ciertamente comemos tamales a todas horas del dia, aca, en la ciudad de mexico los combinan con pan salado y atole.

Buen punto tu tema eso de desayunar sin prisas los fines de semana, todos en familia.

Oh I love arepa! I could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

I can't really ever remember my family actually sitting together at a table like this...ever. I think there may have been a time when my mother tried to do it but it just never came off at all.

This is a very delicate and lovely photo in my opinion. It's like it's telling a story... you can imagine so much from seeing it, about the four people who are about to eat a meal together. :)
