Esta serie de retratos del pintor Mantilla Caballero inspirada en una de tantas guerras civiles que hemos padecido en nuestro país, La Guerra de Los Mil Días fue expuesta en La Casa del Libro Total y creo que va en contra de esta frase popular mostrando en el fondo los corazones y la vida que dejaron atrás estos combatientes. Quizás creyendo en victorias heroicas o simplemente una buena paga lucharon hasta morir, morir morir y morir en la historia. Hasta hoy, cuando sus rostros volvieron a la vida en manos del pintor.
